The original scriptures carry the highest authoritative voice of all voices in this world. God gave us the sufficiency of scripture, and no man, government, or prophet has the permission to overwrite said scripture.

God wrote everything He wanted to tell us in the Holy Scriptures. Yet, Jesus stated that he was not going to leave us as orphans. Jesus asked the Father to send us the Holy Spirit, who goes with us and leads us into all truth and opens our eyes of understanding to what God has written. Intellectual prowess is not enough. The Holy Spirit, prophets of God, or any true spokesman of our Heavenly Father will never add or remove any word from the written word of old. The people of God can expound, explain, illustrate, and prove the Word of God. Adding a new revelation or taking away from written scripture is forbidden. Scripture is sufficient for becoming like Christ. This is a statement and not a full teaching of the sufficiency of scripture.
