Newton’s First Law of Motion

1 Minutes 3 Second Read | Author: Jeff Briner

We all live a life of scripts. Every day it is the same thing, day after day, year after year. We want to change, and we want something new, but we cannot escape. We try harder and endure longer but, in the end, it is the same script with the same result: failure.

Sir Isaac Newton was correct when he stated that an object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion remains in motion unless moved upon by a greater force.

This is a physical law and a spiritual law. The wisdom of this world will always cause us to be in motion and weary. But when we give ourselves to the understanding of God found in the Scriptures, a greater force over-writes our old script, and we enter the rest of God to enjoy the life He has so graciously given us.

Without the truth of God, we are powerless to change our script from birth. But when we hear and believe the truth of God found in the Scriptures, we come to know The Truth, and the truth sets us free. The scriptures can move us out of the never-ending motion of the world and into the eternal rest of God.

If you are tired of the script you have been given and hate the role you have been playing, then your change starts here. Get a Bible and a pen, and study through the scriptures with expectation and allow the power of the Word of God to re-script your life for blessing and not cursing, for life and not death.
